Amateur Radio - Amateur Radio is a disciplined hobby for which individuals must be licensed. There are 3 levels of licensing: Foundation (Entry Level), Standard and Advanced. The licensing authority is Australian Communications and Media Authority. Administration of the assessment process is provided by the Wireless Institute of Australia through affiliated amateur radio clubs and their Assessors and Learning Facilitators.
The Midland Amateur Radio Club provides training and Licence Assessment courses for all 3 levels.
